Aria banjo identification3/10/2023 ![]() The neck joint was weird and loose I replaced it with a standard set of coordinator rods. ![]() The tailpiece was really junky of the "Nashvile" type. Mine came with clunky Kludsen 12:1 box tuners, since replaced with 5-stars. The tone ring on mine was diecast zinc, the rim thin black painted soft plywood. The fancy resonator is rosewood verneer and is a straight-wall design one like the Korean ones, ie. The scale is short (24 5/8 if I remember). The fancy inlays are decals or microthin stuff laid on the surface and covered with a thick layer of finish. This sounds identical to the many different bowtie clones made by Kasuga and sold under a lot of names, including Alvarez, Aria, EPI, Venture, and many, many more.
